For our exhibition at the makers fair, I think it would be cool to have three different stations for presenting our work. The first station would be a "do it yourself" station where we can teach people easy tasks that we had to do, like creating a simple 3D model or turning a light on and off in Unity. This would be engaging but would also show how we went about starting the the process of creating our final products. The next station would show off our products and the goal for our products. The last station would show the english part, explaining what VR is and the impact it could have on our society. (Those stations are not in order).
Dewey would have loved how we drew from experience in our VR project. We took two weeks to learn mastery of our topics and use that experience to create something for the real world. I think many of Dewey's beliefs not only align with this project, but they also align with the philosophy of our school almost identically. I think, however, that it could've been more helpful if we had professional instruction. Dewey believes in learning from other people's mistakes, and that is often times how teachers teach, especially when talking about technology. Professional instruction often times outlines the basic fundamentals that are key for learning a new subject.
I think if money were not involved in our VR project, we would've been more motivated to do something we are passionate about. That was a big point that Pink brought up in his video. When you are trying to accomplish innovation, a monetary reward almost makes people complacent it seems. Innovation comes from people who are extremely passionate about what they are doing.
