Now that my internship is over, I have to think about what to do going forward. I really want to keep practicing programming, and my mentor has given me many online tools to do so. I've learned that the most important part about getting better at CS is to have immersive practice consistently, just like practicing a sport.
I've really come to appreciate the power of computers during my time at this internship. It was rather surreal being at a computer science internship while many places suffered a cyber attack, including English hospitals. These attacks were also eventually resolved by a programmer, which showed me how this power can be used in good and bad ways, while also showing me how important it is in our world today.
I think the picture of this code is a perfect metaphor for my future. While extremely confusing and unclear at first, through hard work, time and experience, it should make more sense and become more familiar/comfortable:
